Eyewitnesses described a scene that could have ended in tragedy, yet miraculously, no injuries were reported. The sudden collapse sparked panic, prompting swift action from those present, who immediately evacuated the area and alerted the authorities.

The Town Hall building is in constant use, yet according to municipal sources, no recorded maintenance has been carried out on its load-bearing structure in the last decade.
The Municipality of Leros and Town Hall staff have mobilised swiftly, pledging a full structural inspection by experts and accelerated reinforcement works to ensure the building’s safety.
