NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that for tomorrow, Monday 25/08/2025, winds from northerly directions of force 4 to 6 are forecast, strengthening to force 5 to 7 Bft (Beaufort scale) from the south by midday.
CONSEQUENTLY, THE FOLLOWING IS ORDERED:
A) The crews of Patrol Vessel 514, Patrol Launch 610, PLS 172, PLS 1113, and PLS 1107 are to be placed on standby for potential assistance to vessels, small craft, and persons at sea.
B) Military authorities are requested to heighten their vigilance for any incidents within their surveilled maritime areas, immediately informing our service to initiate actions and update the Joint Search and Rescue Coordination Centre (ECC-SAR).
C) Local units of the Hellenic Police, the Fire Service, and the Coast Guard are requested to be on standby to provide support if required.
D) Sailing clubs and professional fishermen’s associations in our area are requested to inform their members to avoid any activities for the duration of the weather forecast warning.
E) Local authorities and public bodies (Municipality, Port Fund) are requested to be on standby to provide support if required.
F) The Coastguard Station of Lipsi is instructed to undertake its corresponding actions in accordance with the above.
G) You are requested to maintain a continuous watch on telecommunications channels.
