Feast of Saint Isidore in Leros – The memory of Saint Isidore was celebrated with solemnity at the beautiful chapel bearing his name in Leros. This unique chapel, of rare beauty, is built literally within the sea in the area of Kokkali.
On Tuesday, 13 May 2025, the eve of the feast, at 6:00 p.m., a Festal Hierarchical Vespers was held, presided over by His Eminence Metropolitan Paisios, co-officiated by His Grace Bishop Stephanos of Stratonikeia, with the assistance of Father Sebastianos and other priests of the island. The service was attended by local authorities and a large number of the faithful.
Following the Vespers, the Metropolitan distributed blessed bread (artos) to the congregation, offering prayers that Saint Isidore be the protector of every home and every family via the Leros feast of Saint Isidore.
