Two Greek nationals, aged 26 and 43, were arrested yesterday (Tuesday, 13 May 2025) on Leros by officers from the Leros Police Department. A case file has been compiled against them for the offences of drug trafficking, purchase, sale, possession of narcotics, and possession of pyrotechnic materials.
Specifically, following an assessment of evidence as part of the investigation, a targeted police operation was conducted yesterday afternoon. During the operation, the 26-year-old was caught in the act of supplying drugs to the 43-year-old during a prearranged meeting.
Upon Leros police intervention and an on-the-spot search, €102.50—believed to be proceeds from the drug sale, was found in the possession of the 26-year-old. Meanwhile, the 43-year-old was found in possession of 26.85 grams of raw cannabis, which he had just purchased from the 26-year-old.
Subsequent searches of their residences uncovered an additional 12.2 grams of raw cannabis and three detonators in the 43-year-old’s home.
The drugs and other seized evidence have been confiscated. The arrested individuals were taken to the Kos Public Prosecutor’s Office.
This case is part of the specialised operational actions carried out by the South Aegean Police Services to combat the spread of drugs.
